    Nuclear is def something to keep in the back pocket in any case. I suspect that nuclear propulsion would give a project like Breakthrough Starshot a run for its money in getting probes to neighbouring star systems. We are now talking about accelerations of perhaps hundreds of gees, and coasting speeds of perhaps 40% c and above, giving us mission durations of around 10 years (as opposed to 25 years with Starshot's power beaming tech).
