    Peculiar thing to say. While it is true that we have a gigantic coastline, there doesn't seem to be much connection with knobbly leading edges to reduce stall speed. Other than that the coastline is, I suppose, in some sense, knobbly.

    No--and there's not likely to be. The IBT report was based on a casual comment by one of the scientists to a reporter who obviously took it to mean more than it should have.
