I don't want to minimize this pilot's coolness under fire but what did you expect from her? Wailing? This sort of behavior is wonderful but should be expected from any experienced airline pilot.

I don't expect anything from a professional pilot other than professionalism in their piloting. Even so, it is always impressive to hear it when they are genuinely under pressure in a real emergency.

More often than not even the calm and cool pilots do not survive those events most of those that do are indeed impressive when under pressure.
The cause of the problem is almost irrelevant once things go south you find out how good the pilot is.

Have a nice high tea after that
  3.
Looks like he dragged the left wingtip on touchdown, for no good reason. That could have resulted in a far worse outcome.

No engine. He probably stalled it.

    Hey - they walked away...

What they don't tell you; this is actually how they teach new planes to fly. Some ...well, they don't make it.

(I like the comment "potentially disastrous" - it looked like the last time the word "terminal" might be associated with that particular aircraft).

Only adult planes should be allowed teach their foals how to fly.

    An Old Pilot's Aviation Philosophy

I think I might have screwed up.

Several of us local retired pilots were asked to address a junior high gathering put on by the PTA. I was the only speaker to show up, so I had the stage to myself. I talked about staying in school, getting good grades and all that usual bullshit; and since I had plenty of time because those other guys didn't show, I threw it open for questions.

The last one asked was, "Can you give us a couple of your life's philosophical beliefs?”

I said, “That's an easy one. Looking back over my almost 7 decades, I believe I've spent close to 90% of my earnings on booze and whores. The rest I just wasted."

I was escorted out without getting to finish my last two rules to live by:

    1) If it flies, floats, or fucks, it's cheaper to rent it.

    2) If it's got tits or tires, you're gonna have problems with it.

I hope they invite me back next year so I can finish.

They need to know this stuff!

hair raising approach at this airport, it's featured on Youtube. You'd want to start a missed approach early. Anyway, it was an executive jet which was totalled but nobody was killed and only one was seriously hurt and hospitalized with multiple rib fx

Try Saba. If it wasn't for the Twin Otter the place would be deserted.
