    In the end credits for that last weird video, someone was credited as the Certified Spoon Handler. So you know, Actor's Guild kind of thing...

    Got me thinking. Consider a computational array. It has dimension D (perhaps 1,2,3 or maybe fractal), a rule set R (exponentially many, analog eeyore digital processing), a time depth for the rules T (usually T=1) and a metalevel depth M (rules about rules). Now consider Nature (say genetics) with its nested loops and goto computational equivalents that cross metalevels willy-nilly to make the whole damn thing look like spaghetti code. Turing played with ideas like this with his theory of stripe formation in animals.

    The book proved to be a rabbit hole for me (Angus concurs). Yet there's a meaty bone around here somewhere.
