I am curious what people find more compelling and bust-worthy about Steorn's scam than some others such as Dennis Lee's, Jeff Otto's, all the other HHO lunatics and crooks, psychics who talk to the dead, all the crazy whackoes on the wildly popular radio show Coast to Coast AM every night (USA mainly), all the health scams, the financial scams, the religious scams, all the bullshit ads on radio and TV every day, internet SPAM. Hell, we're buried alive in scams and cons.

    My theory:

    1. Everyone wanted it to be true and at the start there was just a glimmer of hope.

    2. The bold ad and interviews in the beginning were intriguing as was the comparatively good funding and the fact Steorn was a real corporation.

    3. The claim to hold open discussion in the forum and give demos was inviting.

What else? Why Steorn of all obvious scams?

They had a forum - I think that is the main thing.

Plus, they were a "proper" (if entirely useless) company before, with actual employees.
  1.
It was definitely number 1 for me, I also echo what BigOilRep said.

The hidden systems play a large part of the confidence game.

One in it is a great deal easier to target the ideas one would like to present and to get folks to believe.

You see this a lot in the buying government property foreclosure ect.. You place the bait in the open with a fee to get further into the system in order to learn the secrets. It is a step by step process. Up the ladder cost an individual more.
Inn this case if you can convince them it does happen, and of course why, were if they can not build will they go??

Does any one now what, or if they trade there stock openly in this company??

I think that steorn has some additional charm (besides big money adds and demos and a realistic corporate front).

    1. Sean. He is an above average free energy front man. Lots of these tinkerers do their own media interface and come off looking like the nerds that they are. Sean is very good at it.

    2. Clever inscrutable games. Steorn seems to be good at dreaming up these sort of bizarre activities that enhance the mystique. The jury, the african pump, the demo style, the forum, the party, the Dr Mike trip, etc). These are all things that would seem to compromise steorn's claim if they didn't go well, but it didn't necessarily work out that way. No matter what it makes them more interesting and more news-worthy.

    3. Community building. I have never seen a free-energy claimant that went into the community building thing like steorn has. The public forum was a start. Then the private forums. The party and other interactions to. Steorn has a built a community of followers. There are even some that are skeptical of the claim but still feel part of the steorn family. And most of the real believers feel like they are part of the steorn phenomena. Weirdly, even this forum is part of the community (although not necessarily one steorn approves of, like the folks in the local jail are part of the community).

There are no Steorn shares available in the pulicly quoted market and they are accepting no more investments AFAIK. All the Steorn stock is tightly held bythe directors and investors.

But I can sell you some slightly used Dennis Lee Hummingbird motors if you want.

I don't know why people think it is a scam: what scammer would paint himself into a corner by promising calorimetry results soon? What scammer would announce that the skb now has all it needs to build an orbo?

If calorimetry results aren't released soon, and if replications don't soon turn up, what answer can Steorn give? Even true believers will be shaken in their beliefs.

No, Steorn is acting like a company that has the goods.

The main things for me was the egg-in-your-face-you-damn-scientist advert that they did in the economist. When you call a scientist close minded, and you claim to have some physic-as-we-know breaking device, and call down on the scientist publicly, then you better follow up with evidence or get those same eggs back-in-your-face. With compound interrest.

I did not assign to steorn a better probability to get it right than lutec, or newman or denis lee, but their approach to irk engineer (the real one) and scientist make it especially satisfying to see them sink in the same delusion/scam path the other take. Had they taken a much more discret approach they could have scammed people a way in all calm and tranquility.

It fell quite satisfying to see them bleed , and I think the sink time is approaching. At which time I will invite a few friend to drink and be merry.

The same type of shitty scammer which think they can get away with bloody stupid excuse as they have given the SKDB for the batery presence, the 550 Bhp , the jury, the african pump, and I pass many other. This is naturally only my opinion, feel free to move the goal psot, ooops, I meant feel free to ignore me.
