    Some fun stuff..
    Lister
To be 'fair' Sean did not say the output was three times the input but
"three times the input net of joule heating"

The 'input net of joule heating' is itself a very small quantity, so small in fact compared to the actual power input that I cannot see how it could possibly be calculated with any degree of accuracy with the experimental setup used.

The input power is almost entirely used to heat up the drive coils with only a very tiny amount actually driving anything. What Sean is trying to do is subtract one large quantity from anothe almost equally large quantity and calling the difference 'the input energy net of joule heating'. The principle makes sense but the execution is wrong (it cannot be done with just one current and one voltage probe) and also it is not practically realisable due to the inaccuracies in measurement and calculation.

It a forget or ignore the battery man... LOL

This 'heat of the input coil' is a good point. I rewatched the video but am not sure if (during the first part of the demo) the coil was connected to anything - but was 'open circuit'.... No current flow then means only a tiny amount of eddy current heating in the coil - that would not lift it's temperature above background.

I think it was connected up to become a 'dead short' later in the demo and only then would it begin to warm up.

    Making excuses for Steorn, LOL

One needs to read the entire mess. A fun read for OU proof to be like 300% to up to 1000% ehh..

Lister's interpretation makes no sense because Steorn claim the entire input power goes into Joule heating.

maybe the orbo is just a stirling engine then

Then again , maybe it is a piece of junky kludge.

Steorn might want some to believe so, and others to argue endlessly that it obviously is not.

    Tinker has the right answer

Tinker:Where does energy come from to pulse the coils? Have you been paying attention? There's a freakin great battery on the floor.

You know, I had forgotten this claim after the Punch demo, but that is exactly what they claimed before it. So really, their method of quantifying input energy as "net of joule heating" should have yielded the outcome of infinite OU if what SeanSaid before was the truth.

Maybe they didn't demo a real orbo? Or, more likely, if they had claimed infinite OU, then the believers would have looked more closely at how they were calculating things, and noticed that their claim of 3x OU was really only a claim of 1.04x OU. (Most of them really do believe SeanMeant 3x the total battery output.)

ok, so it turns out that Sean misspoke when he said he measured input net of joule heating, well according to Tinker anyway:

Tinker:The input displayed was the power input to the coils. The 'net of joule heating' part I suspect was a misspeak.

Pick thatone apart, you will love it I know! Tinker
wow, i don't know where to begin.

I do. It's a Seansaid bullshit until there are some real, scientific, controlled, falsifiable experiments preformed in a open, transparent manner with suitable peer review of the data. So far, none of this has happened, so this is all arguing about angels on the head of a pin.

Well, Tinker is either trolling, or he is deliberately and knowingly participating in a fraud, or he is an utter moron.
