Steornman has obviously chosen the dark side of the force.

Well, I wish he'd go ahead and commit the heinous crime that he's been accused of.
I'd like to know some details from the inside. Somebody posted a list somewhere of construction details that are needed; somebody else said all these are known by the SKDB insiders.
I'd settle for knowing the core material and the number of turns, and if it's a strict toroidal winding or one like in the Japanese patent, or one like the Completely NonInductive and Useless Antiparallel Hairpin Winding, or some not too kinky combination of the above.
Oh, and the part number of the flyback diode would also be helpful to me.

Couldn't do that or you might have an "Orbo". Those things have to be kept in captivity. Can't have any wild Orbos roaming the countryside.

So NewsEditor ... Your level of anger suggests that the competition details that Steornman posted which led to the mass bannings (aka the liberation from the Steorn Forum) were in fact real? If that is the case then, I guess that it would mean that 1. For some strange reason despite claiming that they are going to charge 419 for membership of The Spud Club Steorn still wont be able to tell anyone how to build a Perpetual Motion Machine, and 2. For some unfathomable reason, despite all the e-learning (disability) modules, no Spuddie has managed to apply all that learning and build a Perpetual Motion Machine either? Quelle surprise! Pathetic!
