Bruce Willis might be available if you get a good screenwriter.

Does that count as another solution to the Fermi Paradox?

Yes but the committee may disqualify if there is a protest.

There is. It comes from years of sitting behind student sailplane pilots who are doing their best to kill us both.

Sorry, Electric Universe folks; it's really magnetic! :)

As usual, I immediately wonder about possible spacedrive mechanisms.
Need more data to plug into (the vectorially challenged) F = qvB

Step One: Charge your spaceship up to a few million volts...
(yes Carruthers - that strap is NEVER to be removed!)

ETA Corresponds to a field of < 1microGauss.
    Fergedabouddit. As you were.

Oy! stop getting my hopes up, primordial magnetic drive indeed.

    Nice find though.

    Is God magnetic?
  5.
Mine is, but I don't share.

    Charge in motion is field.
  7.
    Motion is relative.
  8.

    exactly
Charge, motion, field: one thing, one. Charge is conserved, motion is relative, so field is.... what?

    Not rotation.

So if you spin a macroscopic object fast enough, will all the electrons precess into spin alignment?

Why would they? If I spin American Airlines fast enough, will all the gyrocompasses precess into alignment?
  9.
I dunno. What's the London moment of American Airlines?

Insignificant. They can't go there even for a microsecond.

Saw Comet Neowise this morning at 5:00. My eyes aren't good enough to see the tail without the binoculars. It is insanely bright, though. Hard to miss.

These are strange times. We've got worldwide epidemic, plagues of locusts, comets in the sky, and arguably the Beast of the Apocalypse infesting the USA.
