    New all-solid sulfur-based battery outperforms lithium-ion technology
    Thanks. But Li S research is going on a lot of places, and 300 cycles isn't very good. Still, it is progress.

    No, they're still doing the Rossi thing; a series of "independent" tests making sure to never actually test what they say they can do. Also their clams shrink with each test, such that they are about a tenth of what they originally claimed (which would still be spectacular), but the tests always leave something out.

    Last I heard, the most recent test, an attempt by Zenn to force EEStor to test energy density, has been delayed due to wet "layer" samples that were leaking too much. They're about a week past the promise date and counting.

    EESTOR for an alternative to car batteries is out, despite Richard Weir's recorded lies four years ago that he was then assembling EESU's and was "ahead of schedule". Now they are trying to see if he has anything serviceable that could be competitive in other capacitor markets. The answer is probably not. Zenn is just slowly dying, and EESTOR is dead but refuses to acknowledge it. And then, then there are those poor people who bought Zenn stock as a way in to EESTOR. They lost their money years ago.

    Journalistically, I would have been inclined to come at the topic from the phase angle.

    @tensor

    Great find although it will still be expensive, it might help with Andrew's space cable or even the space rotovator or siphon.
