That clip of Xi at his desk brought to mind an old axiom: "Never trust a man with a tidy desk".

Judging from my desktop, I'm entirely trustworthy.

Powerpaste needs magnesium as well as hydrogen so the West needs its on supply.

How much magnesium is in seawater?

The Folkswagon's Lupo 3L had a steering wheel made of 100% Magnesium. Also a sequential double clutch gearbox.

Can't wait for the first EVs with manual transmission.

Yeah, because those traditional automatic transmissions suck.

But automatic sequential double clutch is the closest you can get to an EV, acceleration-wise. It also sounds.

I also like to shift gears. Slowly. It's the haptics, like fumbling Impatiens noli-tangere.

If you can't manage an automatic you'll be left in the dust in F1

If you are used to manual there is nothing more confusing and unpredictable than automatic.

F1 is automated manual double clutch plus whatnot and flywheel recuperation. It has almost nothing in common with the automatic transmission of luxury sedans.

Had my share, enjoyed them all. Best fun was the nonsynchromesh 5-speed-with-transfer-case monstrosity on the army trucks. When I got tired of rowing through the traffic I treated myself to the Jaguar manually shiftable 3- speed and left it in "drive". Eventually we come to our senses.

What a peculiar reaction to a profession of liking manual gear change!
