Then, out of delicacy, you photograph the flowers and the trees.

What are those made of? Styrofoam? Cardboard? Particle board? Looks like they're stacking them 2 deep, so they shouldn't leak or collapse under weight.

Looks like white pine then covered with plywood. I understand the names are written on the tops of each.

Dr. Hansen says that patients who are intubated/ventilated only have a 14 percent chance of survival.

Wouldn't the timing of the decision to intubate have a significant effect on the outcome?

Well sure. Wait long enough and you won't need to intubate at all. Or do anything else except find another body bag somewhere.

Hansen talks about the criteria for intubation in the video. In the case of CoVid-19 these criteria may need to be changed.

IANAD; but, I agree that intubation seems inappropriate. Instead of applying pressure to the lungs, doesn't it seem like a better idea to apply a vacuum? I mean, just suck all that fluid out? Just briefly, mind you.

Jeepers no! That only works if you have a hole in the bottom of your lungs to let the air flow through. Otherwise - collapsed lung, no fun.

Interesting idea. Bats cope with these viruses. Let's do what bats do. The Count was way ahead on this.

You can introduce air as well as applying suction, you know.

Simultaneously? Rotary breathing? I never mastered that myself. I wonder if the general public would get it.

Maybe not as interesting as. How can there be herd immunity?

Is Batsy da Woo as repulsive as required to maintain involuntary social distancing?

    Deja Woo / Spliff / 85555

Deja Vu, Deja Vu, Deja Vu
Der Rote Hugo hängt tot I'm Seil
    Die Leiche stinkt nach Shit.
    Wie'n weisser Engel
Schön wie Schnee hängt er da
    Ey
    Du tust dir doch weh!
War'n wilder Kerl mit feuchtem Blick
    Doch der kommt nie zurück.
So schreib' dein Leben auf ein Stück Papier
Und warte bis die Zeit vergeht.
Deja Vu, Deja Vu, Deja Vu

Not so, but if you're going to stick something that sucks into a lung, then a parallel tube supplying air (i.e. allow the gizmo to pick up any liquids without any net change in respiratory pressure.

I've thought about a vacuum cleaner that would work that way--compressed air to loosen dirt, preceding a strong vacuum.

Ah. Maybe not a bad idea. But try it on somebody else first, please.
