My great-great-grandmother grew herself such a giant ass that she has to be considered the inventor of the string-tanga and all associated theories and inventions.

Posted By: AsterixUnless you had a digitizer pad, you were nuts not to use a mouse on CAD-type stuff. The advent of Repetitive Stress Injuries.

But that was my point. I don't think CAD would be considered a mass market use of computers. The first time a two button mouse was bundled up with a computer and a word processor and bunch of games is the Atari ST.

    If it matters.

In 1983, games were not a big thing with personal computers. The bulk of the market was running spreadsheets and word processing and the like.

The ST had the worst keyboard that I'd ever used, save for the original PC Jr. one. But then, Tramiel was always about "cheap".

    Liquid keyboard.
The memory of the noise it made when touched or even looked at funny still gooses me bumps.

The very worst keyboard was on the Sinclair, of course, with the unaltered Atari 400 close second.

Sinlair's was rubber and didn't screech like Atari(ST) hers.

I had a ZX80, but sold it after about a month. Got more than I paid for it.

The membrane keyboard on the ZX81 seemed to consist primarily of ink. Was the ZX80 any better?

No, and the case was really flimsy vacuum-molded some-kind-of-weak-plastic. Mine was for the US market, so output was NTSC, not PAL. Didn't make it any better.
