We need safe, cheap nuclear power.

If you costed in the real costs of fossil fuels it is at least on par already.

The new generation of nuclear, should be much safer and produce less costly waste, indeed some thorium designs can even make use of some of the waste for power generation.

And within 10 years we might even get viable fusion generators.

"Proper accounting" per Green Economics allows you to prove that anything that isn't a windmill is economic shite.

Apparently wind is rubbish too http://www.newsweek.com/whats-true-cost-wind-power-321480

So the only way to prop up all the unsustainability is to have more immigrants...

That's right. Heaven put him where he belongs - in a living hell of unscientific nonsense.

Why do you wish that on anyone who has never done you any harm?

It's not about harm. It's about truth versus nonsense.

So you have studied his devices and deduced how they are supposed to work?

Would you mind telling me why they won't work.

    Violates known physical law.

Now, would you mind telling me how it DOES work?
  6.
But it _doesn't_ work. Or at least, there have been no credible demonstrations of anything that Philip Hardcase, or whatever he calls himself, has "invented".

After busting my head a few times figuring out why somebody might imagine that some crock of crap would work, the better to explain it to him, I have fallen back to your first answer. It never satisfies them, but neither does the detailed explanation of where they went wrong.
