    I still like the solar power tower as that works at night as well.

    Also it has the potential to start off a new sport craze, using the massive updraft to lift up flying suits and para ascenders.

    If one was built on Gibraltar flyers could race to Tunisia.

    That eludes me--it's simply a different method of extraction. Nobody's talking about sticking neutrons back into atoms to make more U235--hence, not "renewable" at all.

    No more uranium is leached from the land into the sea then we currently use.

    I like the idea for my floating islands as OTEC's are expensive, use modern safe reactors.

    Also turning CO2 into Ethylene c2h4 could be useful.

    I hadn't heard that there's a shortage of fissile materials. Heck, bring back fast neutron "breeder" reactors and the problem pretty much takes care of itself. Stupid Jimmy Carter.
