Lest we forget the baffling weirdness which surrounds us
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xies3jrFGpA

The double slit, single photon result has always really, really bothered me. I had never really tied it to Many Worlds before. As Joe remarks "With what exactly does it interfere?"

Going from physics to engineering was doubtless for the best.

It interferes with itself. Sort of like quantum masturbation.
  3.
Well, that's just the point, isn't it? The twist given to this interpretation by Many Worlds is what I highlighted. The interference is between the different "worlds".
  4.
There is only one world, one territory. The map is not the territory. Many different maps can describe the same territory, more or less accurately, more or less suited for some immediate purpose. A map that describes one part of the territory accurately may not be accurate when describing a different part of the territory. Here be shoals, and they are really there and will hole your hull. There be dragons... but are they really there, and is their breath but wind and fog?

Heh... you say that like you don't believe in One World. Yet there is no evidence for any other, despite the fearsome dragons depicted on the margins of your favourite map.

This superposition of me might :)

I know a few people who seem to be out of phase-perhaps I've been too harsh on them.

But it can't and it does not.

But we still don't really know what a wavefunction is! Or a bunch of other things, like electrical charge for example. Or why the latter should be relativistically invariant.

Because it it wasn't, the whole universe would collapse into contradictions.

All we see is shadow. We know nothing of the wall, nor of the light, and substance eludes us entirely.

    If what wasn't?

Btw that linked article contains some big ideas.

If it wasn't there would be no it. That seems to cover it all.

    Cover it? Bwahaha

Yup. If it wasn't there there would be nothing to cover, innit?

Attempting to win an argument with a tautology is nothing but a cheap trick
