    What lazy writing. 'First' indeed. London was served by fleets of electric buses from the 30's to the 60's. And very beautiful they were too.

    Possibly it could charge as you are going along, like my power beaming cats eye idea or in an area near traffic lights when you are stopped.

    I have stock in a company that plans to corner the long extension cord market. Their shortest model is two miles-- perfect for taking your ecat powered car to the grocery store at a COP of 6.

    The above reminds me of an idea I had of electrifying cycle lanes using modified uninsulated tyres so if you are knackered you don't have to peddle.

    Of course batteries would be cheaper.

    I was so disappointed with that, a mobility scooter would have better.

    I imagined it to have a wider wheel which housed the battery that could be swopped with a charged one at a garage to extend the range.
