Correct. That was equatorial. I don't think night was averaged out either. And realistic efficiency will be close to 10%. I was trying to be helpful.

Surely, Shirley, Tesla engineers know these calculations and limitations, so why the hype?

Fisker's back with the EMotion, complete with gull-wing doors:

So when pulling into a parking garage slot with vehicles on either side, exactly how does one get out the car? I can also see the roof-raiser knocking the head off a fire sprinkler.

    Great design...

Following the great precedent set by De Lorean. And probably heading to the same financial fate.

Herr Doktor Professor Rossi Fiskar says:

    https://youtu.be/IchK6EVUbKY

700 miles range on a ONE MINUTE charge. Prototypes of the battery by year end and in cars by 2020. Yah shoore. I imagine the connection will be with a cable the diameter of a sewer main pipe? Or maybe a superconductor? If so, I want the LN concession. Also the insurance business.

Nonsense, you can use small conductors (P=IE) if you use high enough voltages--say a few megavolts...

Er...then you have to step down the MVs to a few hundred volts on board the car. Not to mention having little old ladies who drive Fiskers handling Megavolt connectors.

You can compromise. How about a small connector for oh, say, 10,000 V at 100 Amps?

I think Fiskar is FOS and always has been.
