I didn’t know that careers could suffer from motion sickness...

    Has your career
    An inner ear?
    Oh dear, oh dear!

It seems that my state is catching up with the high-mpg cars.

EV cars see higher registration fees

Much like the home PV installation; prices per kwh from utilities go up.

A similar thing was experienced with a local water supplier here. A semiconductor plant closed down and everyone's rates went up. Someone has to pay for that infrastructure.

Fortunately, Oregon also has a pay-for-miles-driven registration fee structure to run in parallel with the get-fleeced-all-at-once plan.

    I said it was coming.

Death and taxes. It was an easy call.
  1.
So they tax sunlight and water. When will they start taxing air?

I don't get the "buy copper" thing:

Among the motor’s main attributes is the elimination both of rare earth permanent magnets and copper, both of which make end of life disposal more difficult.

Electric buses: Why were trolleybuses ever scrapped?

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-51034523

Because the the trolley bus used to separate from it's trolley too often and the poor old conductor had to use a long pole to put them back together.

Not really much info on the, ahem, Ultium battery. More here:

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/samabuelsamid/2020/03/04/gm-announces-new-lower-cost-ultium-lithium-ion-batteries-for-new-evs/#69c967864f10

Still not much about the chemistry. The mechanics look like a looong prismatic cell.
