    Even better, here is an account of one of the mastermind's earlier court adventures...for those that read german.

    @Angus

    If you read the Gizmag article I posted, it said multiple salts not just sodium chloride.

    Look at the guy. He screams "sleaze".

    The Swiss article says he attempted to defraud an old woman. He looks the type.

    Still flow batteries will be handy for wind and solar generators for energy storage.

    I said
    Gotta be more chemistry going on than salt water,

    I don't care how many salts.

    Not sure if this should be here, or in the 'cute thread. A very simple linear motor demo.

    Posted By: tinkerI think this might be a magnesium/salt water cell - joshs (?) mentioned it before- as used in electric torpedos
    Light metal / oxygen cells can use a salt water electrolyte. 5% - 8% by weight salt works well for magnesium. As long as one has enough oxygen in the water and one has enough magnesium surface area, one can get a lot of power out.

    I suppose the spent magnesium could be recycled at the 'refueling' station, must be a better way.

    It could indeed be recycled- but reducing magnesium oxide back to magnesium takes a whole heap of energy.

    Exactly, must be a better way or different material.
