    But we DEFINITELY won't be able to with periodic outages. Why even put up the cams?

    I haven't even seen the damn thing yet, but I can tell you that a good pulse motor of reasonable dimensions with good bearings, not even zerofriction magnetic ones, can run for a LONG time, weeks, on a D-cell battery.

    And if you want to see something even cleverer, look on YT for "mendocino motor". Zero-force magnetic bearings, no battery at all, and definitely no problem with hot video lighting.
