Posted By: TrimThis ‘telepresence system’ lets two people share one body.

I'm not clicking on the link, but I'm going to take a wild guess that it doesn't do this.

A solar-powered winged robot has become the lightest machine capable of flying without being attached to a power source.

Weighing just 259 milligrams, the insect-inspired RoboBee X-Wing has four wings that flap 170 times per second. It has a wingspan of 3.5 centimetres and stands 6.5 centimetres high.

    Nice.

What sort of sting does it have, I bet the military will be interested?

So what are the fine wires for, if it doesn't need to be attached to a power source? Tethers, to keep it from escaping into the wild?

Well with no eyesight what do you expect?

This is only a prototype I expect later versions will have solar cell wings and body as well and maybe use the wind as well.

Good for discovering trapped people as well enemy troops, I expect hybrid versions with insect parts would be used as well.

There was a scheme to use bedbugs to detect Vietcong.

Just wait until we have robotic wage earners and robotic consumers.

Stuff robotically manufactured for robot consumption.

    Humans will be irrelevant.

Think how much cheaper robot homes will be. No need for bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms....hmmm. I guess they can just live in the box they come in.

Robots have rights too! How would you like to have to live in the box you came in?

The trick to fixing the economy is to engineer increased consumption among the robots.
