Venus is not hot everywhere, nor is its atmosphere super dense everywhere.

Starting in the cooler atmosphere supported by large nitrogen and oxygen balloons and rings, initially helped a lot by humans and heat tolerate robots it will teach itself to 'thrive' on the hot surface of the planet where it will learn to replicate.

I am referring to super AI's built at least ten years in the future which are smarter than all the trappers put together.

They will develop the techniques they need to eventually tolerate and thrive on the hot surface.

They don't need water or food so Venus with its huge amount of energy should suit 'them' just fine.

It's not a question of technique. It's a question of materials. We have no way of building complex electronics that can function in an ambient temperature of 500 C. I don't think there is any semiconductor that could do it. How you would make Gbyte memories and Gb/s logic with vacuum tubes is impossible to imagine. The AI would have to imagine an entirely new unknown technology with no training.

On the surface?! 500C and 200 bar of corrosive (SO₂, SO₃) atmosphere. Good luck with that.

It would start at cool earthlike temperatures but being a super genius it would produce techniques we couldn't even imagine.

I would prefer our new super masters to live on another planet in case they discover our graves and resuscitate us to do various biological do dahs.

But Venus is so much better for them and Mercury.

They aren't human so have no logical reason to harm us.

Money is not required in the Venus project.

So even BOR will get it for free.

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.
