I thought one of the curious things is that she played "identical cousins" on TV and suffered from a bipolar disorder in real life. Life imitating fiction.

The PDS also featured a real operating computer as part of a TV plot--one of the first to do so.

Yeah, that's a sad one. "Sepsis due to ruptured intestine"... Hard to believe that modern medicine can't deal with that.
    RIP Patty.
  2.
It can deal with that. Peritonitis almost killed me, but it was a close call.

Haggard later apparently felt quite ambivalent about that song.

Here he is 40 years later, on another tune with Willie Nelson; MH sings by himself some after 2:10:

Merle's music surrounded my childhood. I went through a period where I actually disliked it. Three score later, it is appealing. And I really enjoyed Margo Price on SNL tonight. My custom ringtone is The Thieving Magpie by Rossini and I was totally freaked out by Tales From Topographic Oceans when it came out.

But my fav will always be TDSofM. Contrary to it's albedo, it's all dark.

It's been that way with me my whole life. Except "dislike" is far too mild. After the umpteenth descending triplet at line end, any slight leanings I might have towards masochism are utterly banished.

    Do you mean "third"?

Anyway, that's music that hurts, just as advertized.

I'm sad. He was such a genius. I saw 3 of his concerts. Best concerts of my life. I have all his records.

First Bowie, then Keith Emerson, now Prince. All my idols are dying (unexpectedly). 2016 is a bad year for music, and it's only April.

Prince had tons of unreleased songs, even complete albums that he never released but put in the vault. I hope we'll hear some of that material soon. RIP.

Prince was treated for an overdose a couple days prior. This will turn out to be drug related. Sorry,, but I have no pity for those who insist on abusing drugs. None.
