Scientists want to build nuclear reactors to power Moon colony.

    https://futurism.com/the-byte/nuclear-reactor-power-moon-colony

Great idea with enough power you can have energy to power laser and maser beams that could provide power for a lunar launcher and lander using the plentiful oxygen on the moon or should I say oxides as a propellant?

That idea could be used on Mars as well.

And why not? They are already far ahead on identifying Chinese and Uighurs and Tibetans and radical Hong Kong students and adherents of Falun Gong. Extraterrestrials should be a cinch.

Do you think they are building facial recognition systems for ETs?

Don't forget they serve as much as manufacturing pathfinders as rocket test articles.

Launching that big roll of stainless steel was damned impressive. For a fraction of a second there was a great supersonic methane jet complete with diamonds that pushed that heavy mass to an amazing height. Then when it came back down and hit the ground, something else exploded.

7 secs flight time means 125m altitude

    Flying saucers.

The obvious way to power this craft would be a geosynchronous microwave reflective powersat with the microwave beams originating on earth and being reflected onto a disc shaped craft to supply power via rectennas.
