He made me go squinty-eyed by his obliviousness to the difference between "silicon" and "silicone".

    Cringe!

Also, I'm not sure that human fertility will be any better in Mercurian caves with one-third standard gravity than in Martian ones, and the ambient neutron flux he mentions won't help much.

That's total partisan cultish garbage, IMO. (I watched the first 10 seconds)

This anti-governance bullshit really riles me up. Do you want to live in a libertarian la-la-land like billionaire 'peter thiel' envisions?

I am very positive about the prospect that our hive-mind/culture will adapt to all this weirdness but i feel that I'm already too old to judge.

Scientists use seasons to find water for future Mars astronauts.

    https://phys.org/news/2021-09-scientists-seasons-future-mars-astronauts.html

Can't we use light metals like sodium and magnesium plus oxygen as rocket fuels instead of using up precious water???

Long term Mars terraforming can involve grabbing massive amounts of CO2 from Venus, using a fleet of cycler ships. This kills two birds with one stone, since it also aids in terraforming Venus.

Also any handy small carbonaceous asteroids could be moved to fall on Mars.

Phobos could also supply a few million tons of carbon via a so called dangler (look it up) carbon is better than co2 as it can be dumped on the surface and oxidized when needed for plants, also it may be used for structure.

Mars probably contains mineable carbon as well, unfortunately to supply enough co2 to Mars would take many lifetimes so it would be best to live underground and in domes as well.

I agree with Bezos habitats are better, customed designed for humans, and with fusion power can go anywhere in the solar system.

Orbiting around planets to oversee robot workers.
