Lots of fun but the hours aren't very billable.

Not bad for 200 BC, is it?

I find that new diving suit... concerning! It seems to resemble a sardine can. I would not want to be the sardine.

Not to worry, you probably have more chance of catching Ebola than of finding yourself in that suit.

And the suit will keep you perfectly safe from infection down to 300m.

Another piece of wonderful archaeology, the Nebra Sky Disk:

That takes most of the fun out of speculation. I see a group of seven golden dots close to each other, and since the sickle-shape tends to make one think of Earth's moon in a quarter-phase (even though it has dots in places that could not possibly represent stars) one is tempted to place the artefact in an astronomical or astrological context; hence it might be tempting to say that the group of seven dots represents the Pleiades, even though the shape is nothing like the "tennis racket" shape of that asterism.

And while one might be able to see the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time, it could never occur with that phase relationship or proximity. Also what astronomical or meteorological phenomenon would you care to assign to the "cellphone" stripe at the edge of the disk? Aurorae? Arco Iris?

The thing is an ornament, or possibly a failed apprentice's work, cast aside, to be snitched and stitched into some Egtved girl's outer raiment.

There’s a full moon, and a sickle moon, and in between there are a group of dots. So something happens between the full and sickle moons.

Seven dots, in fact, one for each day of the week.

    Nebra is Arben backwards.

And Nebra Ska is a new music form that I just didn't invent.
