    Looking more and more scammy:

    http://www.fastcompany.com/3055847/fast-feed/feds-find-serious-deficiencies-at-one-of-theranoss-labs

A 9 billion dollar scam would certainly eclipse all the free energy scams I know about.

    Maybe she votes Demoscat?

Really, we need diminutives for our political parties?
  3.
I'm sorry - did you say "diminutives"?

Itb is 9 billion valuation, not necessarily 9 billion investments.

But yeah I tend to think scam due to the size sampling problem.

    The long of it currently:

    http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/09/elizabeth-holmes-theranos-exclusive

The short of it currently: it was a scam-- but was it completely and entirely a $6 *billion* scam? now apparently worth essentially nothing? Per this article, the device doesn't work. Most lab results submitted by Theranos were obtained using competitor's equipment. Yet recently, Holmes insisted otherwise.

Quick, tell Steorn's investors. They will give Theranos money to rebuild.

ETA: here is a two minute talk by Holmes to a professional laboratory organization. She has the bullshit buzzword dictionary down pat. She's performing almost as well as Darden when he defended his investments in LENR but here, the stakes are vastly larger.

Was the name derived from "therapeutic" and "anus"?
  5.
Yup, but the early pick of "Therapeutic Arsehole" was rejected on aesthetic grounds.

OMG! They got $100M more. Lying to investors seems like a profitable policy!

Yup. Someone sold them a bridge in Manhattan. The thing is, like Sean, Rossi, and the others, they are such TRANSPARENT liars. Why give or even lend money to totally non-trustworthy people? I bet it's OPM! (Other People's Money -Danny De Vito)

According to a well known maxim, time is the remedy, and not much is required.
