    I figured out how Steorn came up with 3:1 over unity

    Given that they cannot actually get an orbo running for very long (due to unavoidable failure in reed switch technology - not their fault) it is only too reasonable that they would use theoretical accounting physics to work some specs out for us unreasonable skeptics.

    So we have an Orbo and a D Cell battery

    Energy A is the energy in a D Cell battery

    Energy B is the energy lost in bearings

    Energy C is the energy lost in coils as heat

    Energy D is the energy lost in air friction on the rotor.

    With me so far? good.

    So if we add up all these component we can write an equation

    For Overunity Energy A << B + C + D

    Since they are hard to measure since the orbo keeps stopping we will estimate some of these

    A, The amount of energy in a D Cell = a bit
    B, The amount of energy in bearing losses = a bit
    C, = a bit
    D, = a bit

    Clearly

    A (a bit) = B (a bit) + C (a bit) + D(a bit)

    so substituting a scale factor to get an integer (for convenience) we get

    1 = 1 + 1 + 1

    QED 3:1 Over unity

    I hope that this mathematical PROOF will silence the skeptics and make us realise how lucky we are to have Steorn

    I think the implications of (at least) 3:1 energy output implies that any calorimeter containing a running eOrbo (with only 1 D-cell battery in it) would eventually become red-hot -- and start burning/melting.

    Gotta love that smashing of the Laws of Thermodynamics. Next physics frontier!!

    If so, then you don't need the calorimeter. A block of styrofoam insulation should do.When can we see this marvel?
